Auburndale girls basketball grabs road win at Neillsville
Richardson, Gotz combine for 33 points for 2-0 Apaches

NEILLSVILLE — The Auburndale girls basketball team earned a big, early-season road victory with a 46-40 win over Neillsville on Monday night in a nonconference game at Neillsville High School.
Paiton Richardson scored 17 points and had eight rebounds, and Taylor Gotz added 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Apaches (2-0).
The Apaches trailed 21-18 at halftime before pulling ahead in the second half.
Auburndale opens its Marawood Conference South Division schedule Friday at Wausau Newman Catholic.
