City publishes RFP regarding City Hall redevelopment
By Jason Angell
Director of Planning & Economic Development
MARSHFIELD — The city of Marshfield is currently seeking proposals for the sale and redevelopment of the current City Hall Plaza building located at 630 S. Central Ave. in Marshfield. Currently home to Marshfield City Hall operations and a number of other tenants both public and private, this 7-story, 70,000-square-foot facility is conveniently located in the heart of our downtown.
In recent years the city council has taken the time to evaluate the space needs of our public facilities and determined that the current facility is inadequate for city operations. Coupling that with the recently completed Downtown Master Plan and the 2014 Housing Study and Needs Assessment, the city feels this facility can better serve the community through a redevelopment that changes the use of the property to meet the current and future market demands.
If you or someone you know would have an interest in partnering with the city of Marshfield on this unique redevelopment opportunity, we want to hear from you. Please take the time to review the RFP, which is accessible by clicking here, for additional information and to learn how to submit your proposal.
On behalf of Mayor Chris Meyer and the common council, we thank you for taking the time to consider this opportunity.
