Money raised goes to local non-violence advocacy organization
MARSHFIELD — The 11th Annual Sheltering Hearts Mardi Gras fundraiser will take place Thursday, Feb. 12, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at RiverEdge Golf Course, located at 10191 Mill Creek Drive, Marshfield. All proceeds benefit Personal Development Center, Inc. (PDC), which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a community free from the threat of violence.
The funds raised at the Sheltering Hearts provide a substantial portion of PDC’s emergency services budget and are critical for the services PDC provides in the community. The money raised covers services such as emergency assistance to victims. Emergency assistance might include interim housing, transportation, child care, advocacy services, and job assistance.
Tickets are $30 in advance or $40 at the door, $15 of which is a tax-deductible contribution to PDC. The evening features a Cajun-style sit-down dinner, entertainment, and live and silent auctions with unique wares.
To reserve your place at the event, call Personal Development Center at 715-384-2971 or visit the office, 214 W. Second St., Marshfield. Reservations are strongly encouraged.
