Drew Spaeth throws two-hitter as Marshfield Chaparrals edge Whittlesey
Bo Howard knocks in winning run with 8th inning double

MARSHFIELD — Drew Spaeth tossed a complete-game two-hitter to lift the Marshfield Chaparrals amateur baseball team to a 2-1 win over the Whittlesey Reds in a Dairyland League game Sunday afternoon at Jack Hackman Field.
Spaeth struck out two and walked one to earn the win for the Chaparrals, who improve to 9-5 overall and 7-2 in the Dairyland. The loss was Whittlesey’s first in the league this summer.
Bo Howard had an RBI double with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning to plate the winning run for Marshfield.
Justin Rayburn, Luke Wirtz, and Aaron Schwecke each had two hits for the Chaparrals.
Marshfield will play its final home game of the season at 7 p.m. Wednesday against the Merrill Rangers.
