Marshfield freshmen football rolls past Wisconsin Rapids
Tigers improve to 5-1

MARSHFIELD — Ryan Krueger threw three touchdown passes and kicked six extra points to lead the Marshfield freshmen football team to a 42-14 win over Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday at Marshfield High School.
Krueger threw two TD passes to Mason Coffren and another to Jackson Ott. D.J. Zimmermann scored on a kickoff return, Riley Boushack returned a fumble for a touchdown, and Caden Pearce had a rushing touchdown for the Tigers.
Justin Stanek, Justin Kuse, Bentley Schwanebeck-Osterman and Sam Mitchell led the Tigers’ defense in tackles, and Isaiah Baierl recovered two fumbles in addition to Boushack’s recovery.
Marshfield (5-1) plays at Wausau East on Oct. 8.
