GREENWOOD — The Spencer volleyball team proved again, for the fourth year in a row, that it was unbeatable in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division.
The Rockets finished off their fourth-straight undefeated conference championship season with a 3-1 victory over Greenwood on Tuesday night at Greenwood High School.
Spencer finishes the Cloverbelt East schedule with a 7-0 record.
“Four years in a row as undefeated conference champs is an awesome accomplishment,” Spencer coach Buff Heller said. “The whole team has worked hard for this title. Our three seniors (Lindsey Vaughan, Macie Weber, and Sydney Kind) left a huge mark on our volleyball program.”
Weber had 22 kills and four blocks, Courtney Buss had 14 digs, Kind added 10 kills and four aces, and Sadie Mercier had 38 assists to lead the way for the Rockets, who won 25-12, 25-8, 20-25, 25-22.
Greenwood is 4-2 with a match at Owen-Withee on Thursday remaining on the schedule.
Spencer will host Medford in a nonconference match on Thursday and will play at the Altoona Invitational on Saturday.
