Parks & Rec announces fall programming

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Parks & Recreation Department will be offering the following programs:
—Tennis lessons for ages 4 to 12 begin the week of Nov. 2 on Mondays and Tuesdays. Classes will be held for six weeks at the indoor tennis court in City Hall Plaza. The cost is $29 for city residents and $43.50 for nonresidents.
—Little Tyke Soccer for ages 3 to 5 will be held Wednesdays and Fridays from Nov. 4 to Nov. 20 at the Junior Fair Expo Building in the Marshfield Fairgrounds. Little Strikers (ages 3 and 4) will have two different 30-minute classes at either 5:30 or 6 p.m. The cost is $30. Midfield Mayhem (ages 4 and 5) will run from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. and costs $35.
—Gymnastics classes begin Monday, Nov. 9. There is still room in the beginner class for ages 6 and older. Classes will be held for five weeks at the Marshfield Senior High Fieldhouse gymnastics area. The cost is $25 for city residents, $37.50 for non-residents.
—Early Bird Lap Swim is held at the Marshfield High School pool on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7:30 a.m. through Dec. 10. Lap swim will not be held on Nov. 26. Admission is $1.25 for city residents and $1.75 for nonresidents. Advanced discount tickets can be purchased at the Parks & Recreation office.
—Pickleball is held on Tuesdays from 6-8 p.m. and Thursdays from 1-3 p.m. at the Oak Avenue Community Center. The drop-in fee is $2.50, or advanced discount tickets can be purchased at the Parks & Recreation office.
—Open Gym and Swim at Marshfield High School is held on Mondays and Wednesdays. The pool is open from 5:30-8 p.m. and the gym from 6:30-8:30 p.m. There is no fee for youth up to age 18. The fee for adults is $2.50 for residents and $3.75 for nonresidents. Advanced discount tickets can be purchased at the Parks & Recreation office. Children ages 9 and under need adult supervision to use the facilities.
