Marshfield Public Library to hold special community appreciation open house
For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD — Called “Great Things Are Happening Here,” the Marshfield Public Library is hosting an appreciation event on Sunday, Nov. 15, from 1-4 p.m. that recognizes library supporters as well as the many community organizations and individuals who make Marshfield great. There will be a demonstration of tae kwan do and a performance from Marshfield musician joe g. along with fine food and fun activities.
Often efforts to improve the community are unrecognized or unacknowledged, and Marshfield Public Library plans to change that. This event is an opportunity for parents and children to meet with, talk to, and thank the individuals who are making a difference. So rather than a formal event with a list of speakers, this is a casual affair with just people thanking people.
Library Director Lori Belongia said, “Marshfield Public Library has invited our community organizations to be on hand to tell you about what they are doing and how they are accomplishing great things for our community. These are our everyday heroes. Please join us to thank them. You’ll be glad you did.”
