NEILLSVILLE — From Friday, Nov. 27, through Monday, Nov. 30, Clark County Humane Society is joining national animal welfare organization Best Friends Animal Society, along with animal rescue groups and shelters across the country, to offer free adoptions. The event is sponsored by Zappos.com.
“You cannot put a price on love, and during this free adoption promotion, you don’t have to. Our adoption team will be thrilled to match you up with the pet of your dreams,” said Cheri Wegner, director of administrative services for Clark County Humane Society.
All adoptable pets will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Clark County Humane Society is an active partner in Best Friends’ No More Homeless Pets Network, which offers help and support to animal rescue groups that save lives in their communities.
Clark County Humane Society’s holiday adoption promotion includes a free adoption fee and an adoption kit with helpful information.
All adoption applicants will still be required to submit the adoption application and complete the review process prior to adoption. Those interested in adopting are encouraged to submit their adoption application prior to this event, as the shelter expects to be very busy. Applications can be submitted online through the shelter’s website, cchs-petshelter.org. Applications can then be reviewed and preapproved prior to meeting the animals. Applications may be submitted for a specific animal, and if approved, the animal can be placed on hold for you to meet. General applications are also welcome so that you may be approved and then come to meet all of the adoptable pets. Applications are also available at the shelter or Paws & Claws Adoption Center.
The free adoption weekend will take place at Clark County Humane Society on Friday, Nov. 27; Saturday, Nov. 28; and Monday, Nov. 30, from 12-3 p.m. each day. The event will also take place at the Paws & Claws Adoption Center in the Marshfield Mall on Saturday, Nov. 28, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
This adoption special does not apply to prior adoptions.
