Spencer boys basketball edges Edgar in season-opener
Rockets host Greenwood on Thursday

EDGAR — The long-awaited season debut for the Spencer boys basketball team was a success as the Rockets outlasted Edgar 58-53 in a nonconference game Tuesday night at Edgar High School.
Bobby Pilz scored 22 points, which included 9 of 11 free throws, and Ryan Busse chipped in with 10 points for the Rockets.
Spencer opens defense of last year’s Cloverbelt Conference East Division championship with a home game against Greenwood on Thursday.
