Stevens Point shuts out Marshfield boys hockey
Tigers fall to 0-2 in Wisconsin Valley Conference

MARSHFIELD — Stevens Point outshot Marshfield by 26 and scored three goals in each of the first two periods to beat the Tigers 6-0 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys hockey game Thursday night at the Marshfield Youth Ice Center.
Brock Caufield scored twice in the first period, and Cole Caufield scored two goals in the second for the Panthers (5-1, 1-0 Wisconsin Valley Conference).
Hayden Roy-Peterson made 31 saves for Marshfield, which falls to 1-4 and 0-2 in the WVC.
Marshfield’s next game is Tuesday at Wisconsin Rapids.
