MARSHFIELD — Security Health Plan of Wisconsin is partnering with WebMD, one of the nation’s premier sources for online health education.
“Beginning Jan. 1, Security Health Plan members will be able tap into the resources of WebMD, one of the most respected names in online health education,” said Jay Shrader, director of disease management and wellness for Security Health Plan. “When members take their annual health assessment or look online for information about a particular health issue, they’ll know the information is up-to-date and credible.”
WebMD blends expertise in medicine, health communication, and journalism to provide timely, objective, and easy-to-understand information. For example, Security Health Plan members will have online access to videos about emerging health trends, hundreds of healthy recipes that offer preparation and nutrition guidelines, and smartphone applications that will help members track their physical activity.
“We see this as a logical partnership between two high-quality organizations,” Shrader said. “Our members will appreciate WebMD.”
