WOOD COUNTY — A Marshfield resident faces up to nine months in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both from a charge of misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct.
Sara Wicks, 33, was reportedly involved in a domestic dispute with her roommate, which led to an altercation resulting in the charge of battery.
According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to the 7 Star Motel located on the 2100 block of West Veterans Parkway. Upon arrival, the officer met with the victim, who had bruising underneath his left eye as well as blood coming from that same area. The victim reportedly told the officer that an argument led to a physical altercation at their apartment and that Wicks struck the victim in the face.
Upon contact with the defendant, Wicks reportedly claimed that the victim’s wound was self-inflicted in order to get the defendant into trouble.
Wicks is currently out on a $500 bond and was scheduled for a pretrial conference on Jan. 22.
