Marshfield baseball drops twinbill at Ottawa, Ill., to open season
Tigers scheduled to open home schedule Saturday

OTTAWA, Ill. — The Marshfield baseball team opened its 2016 season with a pair of losses in a doubleheader at Ottawa Township High School on Saturday.
The Tigers lost 10-3 and 6-5 to Ottawa.
In Game 1 Paul Maguire had two hits and an RBI for Marshfield. Conner Jasurda took the loss, giving up eight runs — seven earned — and 11 hits in four innings.
In the second game, Braden Bohman had two doubles and two RBIs, and Trevor Schwecke had a double and an RBI for Marshfield.
Jake Brueggen suffered the loss, giving up four runs in two innings. Hunter Korger allowed two runs and just one hit in five innings on the mound for the Tigers.
Marshfield is scheduled to play at Tomah on Friday and open its home slate Saturday against Appleton West.
