Undefeated Loyal cruises past Columbus Catholic baseball
Loyal scores seven in second, nine in fifth to beat Dons

MARSHFIELD — Columbus Catholic led by three after one inning but could not hold off a potent Loyal offense as the Greyhounds rolled to a 19-6 victory in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division baseball game Monday at Jack Hackman Field.
The Dons (3-6, 3-5 Cloverbelt East) led 4-1 after one inning before Loyal scored seven times in the second, twice in the third, and nine more times in the fifth to win the game via the 10-run rule.
Charles Payant and Brett Loveland each had two hits for Columbus.
Loyal is now 11-0 overall and 8-0 in the Cloverbelt East. Jake Waldhart and Kenyon Rachu each had three hits for the Greyhounds.
Columbus plays at Neillsville on Tuesday.
