Auburndale baseball comes back to edge Stratford
Weinfurter tosses complete game for Apaches

STRATFORD — Auburndale scored four times in the top of the fifth inning, and the Apaches held on from there to beat Stratford 5-4 in a Marawood Conference South Division baseball game Thursday.
Stratford scored three times in the first inning before Auburndale stormed back with a run in the fourth and four more in the fifth to take the lead for good.
Caleb Weinfurter earned the win with a complete game, striking out five and scattering nine hits for the Apaches (2-5, 2-4 Marawood South).
Dakota Singer was 3-for-4, and Dylan Peterson drove in three runs for Stratford (5-6, 4-4 Marawood South).
Auburndale hosts Wisconsin Rapids Assumption on Friday, while Stratford is off until Monday when it is home against Marathon.
