Police called in civil dispute
A Marshfield man reported at 2:12 p.m. that his ex-girlfriend, with whom he has a no-contact probation order, was at his house. The man stated he wanted no further contact with the woman.
Police contacted the woman, and she agreed to not have any further contact with the man, but she wanted the remainder of the man’s property out of her house. An agreement was made to have the man contact police on April 28 to make arrangements for the property return.
Friday, April 29
Possible computer fraud under investigation
A Marshfield man reported at 10:31 a.m. that he had been in contact with a 48-year-old Pennsylvania woman in regards to purchasing a gun. He stated the woman cashed his check on April 18 but had yet to mail the firearm.
The man had tried to contact her three times in the past week, but she had not gotten back to him. Further investigation is needed.
Suspicious man reported
A Marshfield man contacted Dispatch at 11 p.m. to report a suspicious male with whom he had spoken. The caller said the subject asked him for directions to a Central Avenue establishment and then stated, “You will see me on TV tonight.”
Police made contact with staff at the establishment and made them aware of the subject’s comments. Officers later located the male they believed to be the subject in the parking lot behind the establishment.
The male had a valid Wood County warrant and was arrested. He could not post bond and was transported to Wood County Jail.
Man with two warrants arrested
Police arrested a 44-year-old Marshfield man with two Marshfield warrants at his residence. He was transported to the Marshfield Police Department, booked, and released after he posted the $1,397.50 bond.
Saturday, April 30
Three picked up for warrants
Police arrested a 19-year-old Marshfield man for a Department of Corrections warrant following a traffic accident near the 900 block of S. Central Ave. The man was transported to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office jail and turned over to staff.
A 39-year-old Marshfield man was taken into custody on the 1700 block of N. Chestnut Ave. for a valid Marshfield warrant. He was transported to the Marshfield Police Department, where he was booked. The man posted bond and was released.
An 18-year-old Abbotsford man was arrested for a valid Clark County warrant following a traffic stop. He was unable to post the $424.50 bond amount, and police transported him to the Clark County line and turned him over to Clark County authorities.
Sunday, May 1
Marshfield police assist Price County Sheriff’s Office
A deputy with the Price County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Marshfield Police Department at 6:46 p.m. requesting an agency assist in obtaining a legal blood draw from a crash victim that had been flown to Saint Joseph’s Hospital. Contact was made with a 53-year-old Marshfield man who had been involved in the crash, and a legal blood draw was performed with his consent.
Police perform two warrant pick ups
Police took a 37-year-old Marshfield man with four Clark County warrants into custody at his residence on the 300 block of S. Central Ave. He was unable to post bond and was transported to Clark County Jail and turned over to staff.
Police arrested a 27-year-old Marshfield man on the 1400 block of N. Central Ave. for a valid Marinette Police Department warrant. He was transported to the Marshfield Police Department, booked, and then released after posting bond.
Tuesday, May 3
Telephone abuse reported
A woman reported receiving obscene and unwanted text messages between April 30 and May 2. She said the text messages asked if this was a real phone number and asked for nude photographs.
The suspect had contacted the woman through her work telephone.
Attempts to contact the suspect phone number were unsuccessful as a man repeatedly hung up the phone. Attempts to determine who owned the phone were also unsuccessful.
