Owen-Withee storms back to down Columbus Catholic baseball
Teams combine for 29 walks

OWEN — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic baseball team led 11-0 through three innings but could not hold off a torrid Owen-Withee offense and fell 17-12 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Monday.
The game was originally scheduled to be part of a doubleheader on Friday, but the second game was postponed by rain after Owen-Withee won the opener 8-5.
Columbus Catholic scored six times in the first inning and led 11-0 before the Blackhawks got it going.
Owen-Withee (8-6, 8-5 Cloverbelt East) scored a run in the fourth, nine in the fifth, and seven more in the sixth to pull away.
Kole Karaba and Ben Esterer each had three hits for Owen-Withee.
Six pitchers combined for 29 walks in the game.
Billy Young and Brett Loveland both had a pair of hits for the Dons (6-9, 6-8 Cloverbelt East). Columbus is off until May 23 when its finishes its Cloverbelt East schedule with a doubleheader at Greenwood.
