Free items, discounts available at local businesses for bicycle riders
For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD — Marshfield Clinic, Healthy Lifestyles–Marshfield Area Coalition, and local businesses have teamed up to offer the sixth annual Bicycle Discount Program.
The program encourages residents to ride their bicycles by offering discounts and free items at local businesses. Participants who visit four or more businesses will also be eligible for prizes when the program ends.
To receive the incentive, participants ride their bikes to any participating business and show their helmets. A business representative will check off their location on the discount card, or the rider can scan a QR code at the register to check in electronically.
Discount cards can be picked up at any participating business or at Marshfield Clinic Center for Community Outreach, 1701 N. Fig Ave.
Participating businesses include 2 1/2 Cups Cupcakery & Bake Shop, Arby’s, Bakerville Sports Bar and Grill, Biggby Coffee, Blue Heron BrewPub, Baltus Bread & Butter Shop, China Chef, Chips of Marshfield, Culver’s, Dairy Queen, Draxler’s Service Center in Hewitt, Dunham’s Sports, Hub City Ice Cream Company, JJ’s Bakery, Marshfield Public Library, McDonald’s, Melody Gardens, Perkin’s Restaurant and Bakery, Pick ‘n Save, Scotty’s Pizza, Sports Den, Taco John’s, Victory Apparel, and Weber’s Farm Store.
