Chaparrals edge Chaseburg-Coon Valley for fourth-straight victory
Chaps get walk-off win with run in ninth

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Chaparrals amateur baseball team extended its win streak to four with an 8-7 victory over Chaseburg-Coon Valley in a nonleague game Wednesday at Jack Hackman Field.
The Chaparrals (4-1) won the game with a run with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Ryan Williams earned the win in relief of starter Ryan Metz, who struck out two and allowed six hits in seven innings. Marshfield won despite committing seven errors. Only two of Chaseburg-Coon Valley’s seven runs were earned.
Aaron Schwecke had three of the Chaparrals’ nine hits.
Marshfield plays at Merrill at 6 p.m. Sunday.
