Schwanebeck, Marshfield Chaparrals blank Spirit Twins
Chaps win sixth straight

SPIRIT — Sam Schwanebeck tossed a complete-game, five-hit shutout to lift the Marshfield Chaparrals amateur baseball team to a 10-0 victory over the Spirit Twins in a Dairyland League game Sunday afternoon.
Schwanebeck struck out 14 and walked just two in his nine innings of work for Marshfield, which is now 6-1 overall and 5-1 in the Dairyland League after winning its fifth game in a row. Schwanebeck also had three hits and an RBI at the plate.
Marshfield scored three runs in the third inning and added a pair in the sixth, seventh, and ninth innings on the way to the victory.
Justin Rayburn had three hits, stole two bases, and scored twice, and Luke Wirth hit a two-run homer for the Chaps.
Marshfield hosts the Eau Claire Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Jack Hackman Field.
