Marshfield Post 54 Senior Legion baseball team knocks off Wausau
Pilz, Brueggen limit Wausau to one run, six hits in road victory

WAUSAU — The Marshfield Clinic Post 54 Senior American Legion baseball team ran its record to 6-2 and improved to 2-1 in the Wisconsin Valley Legion League with a 6-1 victory over Wausau Post 10 on Monday night at Athletic Park.
Bobby Pilz allowed just one run and six hits in 7 2/3 innings while striking out three and walking three to earn the win for Marshfield, which did not have an error in the field.
Jake Brueggen recorded the final four outs to preserve the victory for the Blue Devils.
Trevor Schwecke had two singles, a double, and an RBI for Marshfield. Nate McDonald and Hunter Luepke each added a pair of hits in the win.
Marshfield plays a non-league doubleheader at Marathon on Thursday.
