MARSHFIELD — Next month the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County Campus Community Players will put on “Four Short Comedies by David Ives.” The comedies include PG-13 to mature content. Performances will be held July 20-23, 7:30 p.m., and July 24, 2 p.m., in the Black Box Theatre in the Laird Fine Arts Building on the UW-Marshfield/Wood County campus.
General admission tickets are $7 and may be purchased online at marshfield.uwc.edu or by phone at 715-389-6534.
“Ives is extremely funny. He takes a quirky look at very ordinary things, which is what a lot of comedy does, but he does it in such a way that there is something else. It illuminates some deeper richness in life. You laugh but, at the same time, don’t lose that deeper appreciation for the human experience in all of its quirkiness,” said reviewer Brian Mastroianni of the Berkshire Eagle.
“Four Short Comedies by David Ives” is sponsored by the Laird Fund for the Arts with additional support from the Dave Rhyner Fund.
