Marshfield Chaparrals blank Tomahawk
Spaeth, Metz combine on two-hit shutout

MARSHFIELD — Drew Spaeth and Ryan Metz combined on a two-hit shutout as the Marshfield Chaparrals amateur baseball team blanked the Tomahawk Titans 3-0 in a Dairyland League game Monday night at Jack Hackman Field.
Spaeth struck out six and walked three in seven innings, and Metz tossed two shutout innings in relief to finish off the win for Marshfield (9-6, 6-4 Dairyland League).
Alex Steines and Cole Cuddie each went 2-for-4 for the Chaparrals, who had seven hits in all.
Marshfield’s next game is at 7 p.m. Friday at home against Lodi.
