MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Clinic Post 54 American Legion baseball team dropped a 10-9 decision to Stevens Point in an elimination game at the Class AAA regional Thursday at Jack Hackman Field.
Point moved on to an elimination game against D.C. Everest later Thursday night as Marshfield was bounced from the five-team, double-elimination tournament.
Game times for Friday have been changed, with the Everest-Point winner taking on Wausau at 4 p.m. If Wausau were to lose, the two teams would play again approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.
The survivor earns a spot in next week’s Wisconsin Class AAA American Legion Baseball State Tournament at Jack Hackman Field in Marshfield beginning Tuesday. The tournament begins at 9:30 a.m., and Marshfield (22-7) will play at 7 p.m.
