Final book sale in old library to be held Sept. 21-25
For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD — The Friends of the Marshfield Public Library (FOMPL) will hold its 29th fall used book sale, Twice Sold Tales, this year Sept. 21-25.
This promises to be one of FOMPL’s biggest sales ever. As the last sale to be held in the current library building prior to the moving to the Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library, FOMPL has thousands of titles for all ages and reading tastes. Donations from the public and materials culled from the library collection provide this wide range of material.
Beginning on Wednesday evening (members-only night), books will be priced at $10 a bag, and then prices will drop on a daily basis. Thursday a bag will be $8, Friday $6, Saturday $4, and on Sunday $2.
Proceeds from the sale will be utilized to support library purchases and programs such as Give a Kid a Book, adult forums, circulating art, and much more.
Those interested to help in setting up, selling, and cleaning up after the sale should contact Gwen Steensen at 715-387-4271 or [email protected].
