Man arrested for sixth offense OWI with child in car

NEILLSVILLE — On Sept. 24 at 9:08 p.m., deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office stopped 42-year-old Michael Hazard Sr. of Cadott for traveling 78 mph in a 55 mph zone on County Highway O in Clark County. In the vehicle with Hazard was his 10-year-old child.
Hazard admitted to drinking and had an odor of an intoxicant on his breath. He tried to perform standardized field sobriety exercises but failed. Deputies then arrested him for operating while under the influence, sixth offense, with having a passenger under the age of 16 in the vehicle.
At this time the Clark County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation and awaiting Hazard’s blood results.
