MARSHFIELD — The two photographs above offer a compelling perspective on Wildwood Park & Zoo’s most captivating residents.
The photograph on the left was taken on Oct. 25, 2015, when the Kodiak cubs were 120 and 130 pounds and approximately 9 months old, according to photographer Susan Wendlandt, who chronicles the life and livelihood of the growing bears.
The photo on the right was captured this year on Oct. 16 with the cubs at 410 and 433 pounds and 21 months old at the time.
The large rock structure on which the growing bears rest upon is the same one that appears to be massive to the cubs just 12 months ago.
