Marshfield boys hockey edges Black River Falls for first win of the season
Wellens, Schmidt, Barth score for Tigers

TOMAH — Haydon Roy-Peterson had 31 saves in goal as the Marshfield boys hockey team earned its first win of the season with a 3-2 victory over Black River Falls in the opening round of the Tomah Invitational on Friday.
Isaac Wellens scored 3:04 into the game, and Zach Schmidt added a goal 46 seconds into the second period to put Marshfield (1-1) on top 2-0.
After Black River Falls countered, Colin Barth scored for the Tigers, who held on from there.
Marshfield will conclude tournament play at Tomah on Saturday.
