Hot-shooting Marathon downs Spencer boys basketball
Spencer held to 27 percent shooting

SPENCER — Marathon shot a sizzling 68 percent and nailed 17 of 18 free throws to rout Spencer 70-30 in a nonconference boys basketball game Saturday afternoon at Spencer High School.
Marathon (1-1) made 25 of 37 shots from the field and held Spencer (1-4) to just 10 of 37 (27 percent) shooting in the win.
Carter Hanke led Marathon with 21 points, making nine of 11 shots from the floor.
Jack Bezlyk topped the Rockets with 13 points.
Spencer hosts Gilman in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game on Tuesday.
