Janice I. Kirschbaum
Janice I. Kirschbaum, 88, Stratford, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016 at her home in the Town of Cleveland, Marathon County.
A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Sauter / Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford where a prayer service will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. by Rev. Sengole Vethanayagam. A graveside service will be held at a later date and burial will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County.
Janice was born March 20, 1928 in the Town of Lincoln, Wood County, to George and Elfreida (Rohs) Emmel. She married John Kirschbaum Oct. 22, 1949 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Marshfield. He died on June 28, 2001.
Janice was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and reading.
Janice is survived by her son John P. (Beverly) Kirschbaum of Stratford, her grandchildren, Kristy (Scott) Witkus of Mosinee, John M. Kirschbaum (Carla Pongratz) of Stratford, Kandy (Jordan) Banks of Marshfield, Jeremy (Sarah) Kirschbaum of Albuquerque and Damon (Carol) Engelbretson of Stratford, and her great grandchildren, Jaxen and Alani Witkus, Brynn and Lauryn Banks, Mackenzie and Mikayla Kirschbaum and Deanna and Brandon Engelbretson.
She is also survived by her sister, Sally (Jeffrey) Fiddler of Chicago. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her son Richard and 2 brothers, Vernon and Edward Emmel and 2 sisters, Helen Brett and Dorothy Kibble.
