Wallet lost, possibly stolen
A Neillsville woman reported that she lost her wallet in a parking lot on the 2000 block of N. Central Ave. some time between 8:15 p.m. and 9:03 p.m. The woman had spoken to witnesses who claimed to have seen a vehicle stop and someone “pick something up” in the area where the woman lost her wallet.
The wallet contained the woman’s ID, Social Security card, food stamp card, debit card, and approximately $100 in cash. Police requested video surveillance of the area.
Man taken into custody for DOC warrant
Police took a 34-year-old Marshfield man into custody on the 300 block of N. Central Ave. for a valid Department of Corrections warrant. The man was transported to the Marshfield Police Department for booking and later to Wood County Jail.

Marshfield police assist Wood County Sheriff’s Office
A Wood County Sheriff’s Office deputy requested assistance from a Marshfield Police Department K-9 near the intersection of Heritage Drive and Draxler Drive at 6:33 p.m. K-9 Steffi performed an exterior sniff of a vehicle and responded to the odor of a controlled substance.
In searching the vehicle, a green plant material and drug paraphernalia were found.
