Man removes, attempts to replace broken TV
An employee at a motel on the 1800 block of S. Central Ave. reported that on Jan. 12 a 32-year-old Kronenwetter man took a television from one of the motel rooms and replaced it with another television. Police contacted the man, and he stated he broke the television by accident and felt he was responsible for the damage.
The man said when he returned to the area he would contact the motel and deliver payment. The motel employee did not want the television the man had left and would return it to the man upon payment.
Dog bites Marshfield man
A Marshfield man reported that a dog bit him on the left hand, causing several small puncture wounds, at 11:15 p.m. on the 2200 block of S. Maple Ave. The man said the dog appeared to be bleeding from its mouth, and it bit him while he was checking it.
The owner, a 41-year-old Marshfield woman, stated the dog was neither vaccinated nor registered. She was issued a rabies control form and instructed to have the dog quarantined within 24 hours.
The man said he would seek medical attention for the injury at a later time.
Possible disturbance reported on Fourth Street
A possible disturbance was reported in an alleyway on the 800 block of E. Fourth St. at 11:19 p.m. Two witnesses reported hearing a woman screaming and telling someone to get away. The witnesses believed the woman left with two males in a small vehicle but had no further details.
Police investigated and noticed signs of a struggle. There were no additional witnesses or information. A possible victim or circumstances are unknown at this time.
