STEM Day offered at UW-Marshfield/Wood County
For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD — UW-Marshfield/Wood County is offering STEM Day for youth in grades four through six on Feb. 13 from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
For many area students, there is no school on Feb. 13, so they may have a day exploring science, technology, engineering, and math. Experiments and hands-on activities are facilitated by UW-Marshfield/Wood County professors, UW-Extension educators, and Justin Loew from WAOW Newsline 9. There will be experiments about the weather, the brain, and engineering a car to put to the test in a race.
The cost is $55, which includes all supplies and a snack.
Preregistration is required. Register online at marshfield.uwc.edu/ce or by calling the Continuing Education office at 715-389-6520.
