Monday, April 3
Charges requested following domestic abuse incident
A woman reported at 11:41 a.m. that she was involved in a domestic abuse incident with a 43-year-old Marshfield man. Charges will be requested through the Wood County Sheriff’s Office for strangulation; battery; criminal damage to property; and disorderly conduct, domestic abuse-related against the man.
Vehicle broken into on Central Avenue
A Marshfield woman called to report that while her vehicle was parked at her place of work on the 3200 block of S. Central Ave., some time between 10 a.m. and 11:55 a.m. someone smashed the passenger side window and took $23 from her purse.
No other vehicles in the area were damaged or entered. There were no witnesses to the damage.
Police contacted the woman’s ex-boyfriend, a 53-year-old Green bay man, who gave false and misleading statements on his whereabouts during the time of the damage and theft. A charge of obstructing an officer will be referred to the Wood County district attorney’s office on the man.
Marshfield police assist Price County Sheriff’s Office
At 1:38 p.m. a deputy from the Price County Sheriff’s Office requested that a Marshfield officer assist with a blood draw on a 21-year-old Iron Belt man who was involved in a personal injury accident in Price County. The informing the accused form was read to the man verbatim, and he consented to a blood draw.
A phlebotomist drew the blood and gave the blood draw kit to a Marshfield officer. The kit was entered into evidence and then mailed to the State Laboratory of Hygiene.
One man arrested for warrant, one for operating while revoked
Police arrested a 63-year-old Marshfield man on the 300 block of N. Central Ave. for a valid Marathon County warrant. He was unable to post the $2,500 bond amount and was turned over to the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office.
Police arrested a 30-year-old Marshfield man near the intersection of Chestnut Avenue and Fifth Street for operating while revoked. He was booked at the Marshfield Police Department and later released.
Tuesday, April 4
Marshfield man arrested for domestic-related disorderly conduct, battery
Police received a report of a domestic incident that occurred on the 700 block of S. Central Ave. on March 25. As a result, a 55-year-old Marshfield man was arrested for domestic-related disorderly conduct and battery. The man was booked at the Marshfield Police Department and then transported to Wood County Jail.
Trailer stolen from Arnold Street property
A Marshfield man reported that a 14-foot hydraulic dump trailer was stolen from his property on the 500 block of E. Arnold St. some time between March 30 and April 4. The man stated he had contacted multiple persons who had permission to use the trailer in the past, and all said that they did not have the trailer.
A stolen vehicle form was completed, and the trailer was entered into the National Crime Information Center and Wisconsin Crime Information Bureau databases as a stolen vehicle.
Woman with warrant taken into custody
A 27-year-old Marshfield woman reported at 12:48 p.m. that she was unable to find her 4-year-old daughter at a residence on the 500 block of E. Depot St. Officers arrived and in a short time located the daughter under a bed. The child was unharmed and had never left the property.
The woman had a warrant with the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department in the amount of $87. She was taken into custody and transported to the Marshfield Police Department. Bond was able to be posted, and the woman was released.
Forty-year-old arrested for disorderly conduct – domestic abuse
A 40-year-old man was involved in an argument on the 1400 block of E. Fillmore St. He was arrested for disorderly conduct – domestic abuse at 11:02 p.m.
The man was transported to the Marshfield Police Department for booking procedures and later released after posting the required bond amount. Charges will be forwarded to the Wood County DA.
Friday, April 7
Online transaction hacked, items sent to wrong address
A Marshfield man reported a tool set worth $215 was stolen from him. The man stated he purchased the tools on eBay on March 27, but someone hacked his transaction and changed the shipping information prior to the seller shipping the tool set. The tools were shipped to an apartment in Citrus Heights, California.
The man had contacted the apartment complex’s manager, who spoke to the apartment’s tenant. The tenant denied having the tools. The man also contacted the Citrus Heights Police Department, who requested that he contact the Marshfield Police Department first.
Two taken into custody following drug investigation
At 9:41 a.m. police were investigating a residence on the 300 block of W. Third St. involving the sale of methamphetamine and possible reckless endangerment. A search warrant was obtained for the residence, and inside the residence police located a clear, rock-like substance, which when field tested showed the presence of methamphetamine.
A 33-year-old woman was taken into custody and transported to Wood County Jail for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. A 26-year-old woman was taken into custody on a probation hold and then transported to Wood County Jail.
Charges requested for disorderly conduct, lewd and lascivious behavior
Police responded at 3:15 p.m. to several reports of a 36-year-old Marshfield woman yelling and cursing loudly, causing a disturbance on the 1100 block of S. Central Ave. Two witnesses observed the woman show her bare breasts and pubic mound area.
Officers attempted to contact the woman, but she went inside her residence and would not open the door. A request for charges will be sent to the DA’s office on her for disorderly conduct and lewd and lascivious behavior.
Woman arrested for drug possession
Police responded at 4:11 p.m. to a report of an unresponsive 31-year-old Marshfield woman at a residence on the 600 block of N. Broadway Ave. As a result of the investigation, the woman was arrested for the possession of methamphetamine.
She was brought to the Marshfield Police Department to be booked and then transported to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office jail. A request for charges will be sent to the DA’s office for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a Schedule IV drug, and possession of a prescription medication without a valid prescription.
Stratford man taken into custody on probation hold
Police took a 35-year-old Stratford man into custody for a probation hold on the 100 block of W. Doege St. He was transported to the Marshfield Police Department for booking and then to Marathon County Jail.
Saturday, April 8
Two domestic abuse incidents reported
Police responded at 12:31 a.m. to a report of a verbal argument on the 2400 block of N. Peach Ave. During the argument a woman reportedly was pushed by a 22-year-old man and felt threatened by his actions.
Police took the man into custody for disorderly conduct – domestic abuse. He was booked and later released after posting the required bond. Charges will be sent to the Marathon County DA.
Police responded at 10:35 p.m. to a report of a verbal disturbance on the 1700 block of N. Chestnut Ave. During the investigation police discovered that two males were involved in a physical altercation, which resulted in both males sustaining injuries.
The incident met the criteria for domestic abuse. Both males were charged in the incident, and the case is being referred to the Wood County DA’s office.
Bicycle stolen from Cedar Avenue residence
Some time between 9 a.m. and 1:10 p.m., a bicycle was stolen on the 500 block of N. Cedar Ave. The bicycle was unsecured on the south side of a residence.
