Marshfield’s Michalski wins medalist honors at Sparta boys golf tournament
Tigers finish third in Division 1

SPARTA — Marshfield’s Derek Michalski won medalist honors with a 76 to help the Tigers to a third-place finish at the Singh Grewal Boys Golf Invitational on Saturday at River Run Golf Course.
Ben Baur shot an 80 to take fifth for the Tigers, who finished with a team score of 332, one shot behind second-place Middleton. Sparta won the team title with a 317.
Brendan Schneider had an 86, Grant Michaelis shot a 90, and Joe Kirschnik had a 91 for Marshfield.
The Tigers are scheduled to play in the second leg of the Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournament on Tuesday at Greenwood Hills Country Club in Wausau.
