Featured MAPS pet of the week: Thomas
By Karen Rau

Hi, my name is Thomas. I am a big, beautiful boy waiting to find my new retirement home. I had a wonderful home, but when my previous mom developed health issues and had to go into assisted living, I could not go with her. We all were very sad.
Some other nice people took care of me for a while, but they needed help finding me a new home, so they called their friends at MAPS. So here I am at the adoption center with the other kitties.
It is kind of scary being an older guy in a new environment, but I know the volunteers here love me, and the right person will come along soon. I am 10 years young, front declawed, and a pretty laid back boy, but I kind of got used to being a one and only cat.
If you have been thinking about a furry companion, I just might be your guy. In the meantime, I will just patiently wait and dream about hanging out with my new family. Come meet me.
If interested in adopting, visit the Marshfield Area Pet Shelter’s Adoption Center located across from Furniture & ApplianceMart inside Marshfield Mall from 4:30-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. To view all adoptable pets and complete an online adoption application, go to www.MarshfieldPetShelter.org/adopt.
