Mural Tour and Historic Scavenger Hunt to be held at Hardacre Park
For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD — As part of this year’s Historic Preservation Month activities, Main Street Marshfield is coordinating a live mural tour at Hardacre Park. The park’s murals where completed last summer by Gene Wesley, and each has a significant meaning to Marshfield’s history and present. Don Schnitzler, a local historian, will be giving a tour starting at 5:20 p.m. on May 19.
At 6 p.m. there will be a family friendly scavenger hunt. Each correctly completed entry will receive a prize.
The scavenger hunt requires participants to find historic buildings in the downtown and take a creative photo or selfie with the building. Full details will be given May 19.
The first place prize is a $50 gift certificate for Thomas House, and second place is $35 for Royal Toyko.
There is no need to preregister. Both activities are free. For further questions contact Main Street Marshfield at 715-387-3299 or [email protected].
