Featured MAPS pet of the week: Oscar
By Vicki Riedel
MAPS Volunteer
Oscar was living on a farm where he was being bullied by some of the animals there. I took him in late one night, not knowing how long he would need to stay or where he would go, but I knew that he needed help. He was very scared and had some nasty wounds.
After working with him for a while and teaching him to trust me, I surrendered him over to MAPS. Now he is getting the medical care and socialization that he needs and is quickly continuing to come out of his shell.
He loves attention and purrs and rolls over for anyone who will pet him. Oscar is still a little timid, but it will not take long for him to blend into his new home and family that he deserves so much.
If interested in adopting, visit the Marshfield Area Pet Shelter’s Adoption Center located across from Furniture & ApplianceMart inside Marshfield Mall from 4:30-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. To view all adoptable pets and complete an online adoption application, go to www.MarshfieldPetShelter.org/adopt.
