Cathy was born March 26, 1957, the daughter of the late Dave and Edie (Dhein) Steiner. She married the man of her dreams, the late Randy Mayer on October 30, 1982. They farmed in Arpin, where they welcomed their daughter Jen into the world. They moved to Marshfield and later to Stratford, where they raised their daughter.
Cathy enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and friends. Most importantly spending time and laughing with her two grandkids, and one on the way. She enjoyed hearing them laughing together. She will forever be “Grandmilk” as her middle granddaughter called her. Her grandchildren gave her so much joy and love. She had a huge heart, and always gave her all.
Cathy will be greatly missed by her one and only daughter, Jen (Tony) Peltonen (Stratford), her two grandchildren (Deven, Anastasia) and one on my way, due in two weeks. Her siblings; Sherry (Dan) Haley of Milwaukee, Steve (Deb) Steiner of Stratford, Danny (Jane Krause) Steiner of Stratford, and Lorie Steiner of Plover. Her Brothers/Sisters in laws; Char (Jim) Austin of Janesville, Pat (Jerry) Karl of Stratford, Mary Kay Purst of Marshfield, Ricky (Mary) Mayer of Arpin, and Ben Rhodes of Hewitt. She will also be missed by many, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Cathy was preceded in death by her husband Randy, her parents, and her in-laws, many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family will designate a memorial for the education of Cathy’s three grandchildren at Pioneer Bank.
