MADISON — The Marshfield doubles team of Derek Reckner and Jared Cordova had its season come to an end Friday at the 2017 WIAA State Individual Boys Tennis Tournament at Nielsen Tennis Stadium on the University of Wisconsin campus.
Reckner and Cordova, who won their Division 1 No. 1 doubles first-round match Thursday, fell in the second round to Eau Claire Memorial’s Zach Wolfe and Sam Rechek 6-2, 6-1. Wolfe and Rechek also defeated the Marshfield duo in the championship match at the D-1 sectional last week.

Wolfe and Rechek (21-2) went on to win two more matches to reach the semifinals, where they will face Glendale Nicolet’s Jack Steinberger and Eli Winter (29-2) on Saturday morning.
