MARSHFIELD — Kids from Wisconsin returns to Marshfield on June 25 to perform at Marshfield High School (MHS). Marshfield will be represented by MHS senior Katie Gauerke on trumpet.
Kids from Wisconsin showcases the state’s talented youth in a show made up of 20 singers and dancers and a 13-piece band. All performers are between the ages of 15 and 20 years old.
Kids from Wisconsin started in 1969 as a troupe to perform at the Wisconsin State Fair. A nonprofit organization, Kids from Wisconsin also works with community projects to provide entertainment for fundraisers. The group travels around the state and performs for over 100,000 people each summer.
The show’s theme this year is “Head Out on the Highway” and will feature upbeat dancing and positive songs. Students from the Marshfield High School band also have an opportunity to get on stage with the Kids from Wisconsin to perform during the show.
The performance will take place on June 25 at 7 p.m. in the MHS auditorium. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for youth and students. Last year’s show sold out, and it is recommended that tickets be bought in advance. Tickets can be purchased in the MHS office from Janet Meyer or on showtix4u.com.
