Registration open for annual Going Nutz for the Arts camp

Chestnut Center for the Arts

June 29, 2017

For Hub City Times

MARSHFIELD — Boys and girls ages 5 to 11 are invited to attend the Chestnut Center for the Arts’ Going Nutz for the Arts camp. Register for one of two sessions from July 10-14 or July 24-28.

This camp, which runs from 1-4:30 p.m., is designed to give campers the opportunity to explore the arts. Children of all artistic experiences and abilities are welcome. Campers are organized into similar age groups and rotate into different classes. They will work with drawing, painting, clay, sculpture, outdoor installations, music, rhythm, instruments, and dancing.

The camp’s instructors are licensed art teachers at local area schools, retired art teachers, professional artists, and college art majors. At the end of the camp, families and friends are invited to see a demonstration and performance showcasing the children’s work from the week.

The registration cost is $160 per camper or $135 per camper for two or more children from a family. Call the Chestnut Center for the Arts at 715-389-8999 or email office@chestnutarts.org to register. Each camp is limited to 50 children, and the registration deadline is July 7.
