For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD – Simplicity Credit Union has completed initial negotiations on the purchase of the current Thomas House property at 103 South Central Avenue, Marshfield. The property was listed for sale in June and currently holds tenants, including The Thomas House Restaurant.
“We’re so excited to be able to expand our services to our members and the community and will share more details on what’s to come in the coming weeks.” says Ben Bauer, Simplicity Credit Union Director of Marketing. “There’s still a lot of due diligence to do that goes with any commercial property purchase. While we’re excited to announce our plans for the opportunity to better serve our members and the community, we realize there’s still a lot of work to do.”
Chartered in Marshfield in 1949, Simplicity Credit Union now serves nearly 24,000 members in eight counties with assets totaling $230 million.
The Thomas House Restaurant will close its doors September 16. A closing date is scheduled for the end of September 2017.
