Step back in time: Aug. 6-12 in Hub City history

Ten years ago
Global Pipeline Partners recently donated $13,000 to the Marshfield Police Department. The donation was used to purchase a digital camera, an alternative light source, and a Krimesite Reflected Ultraviolet Imaging System, all to aid in finding clues left by suspects at the scene of a crime.
Twenty-five years ago
Capturing the Central Wisconsin Soccer League championship with a record of 7-1-2 was the team from Brown’s Bar in Marshfield. Team members were Mike Miller, Dave Grzadielewski, Scott Berg, Brett Cook, Joel Jurgenson, Chuck Graf, Michael Brown, Philip Schlagenhaft, Tom Kammer, Mike Stram, Kevin Schultz, Mike Huber, Geoff Weinfurtner, Dave Herkert, Jon Brink, Fred Fassler, and Jeff Fox.
Fifty years ago
Racing competition at the Rangeline Speedway Saturday night was dominated by Marshfield drivers. Local winners included Googie Wilhelm, Dick Bushman, Lee Zopfi, and Don Schmidt.
Seventy-five years ago
The Girl Scouts sponsored a day camp at Wildwood Park. One of the many activities was handicrafts, and among those who weaved coin purses were Lauren McDonald, Valerie Eckes, and Margie Dickof.
