Marshfield boys soccer blanks Merrill for first WVC win of season
Urban scores twice for Tigers

MERRILL — The Marshfield boys soccer team grabbed its first Wisconsin Valley Conference victory of the season Thursday night by beating Merrill 5-0.
Marshfield controlled all aspects of the game, outshooting the Bluejays 32-2 overall and 18-1 on goal.
Four different Tigers scored in the win. Isaac Wellens and Alec Giles had goals in the first half, Grant Urban had two goals, and Kyle Tremelling chipped in another in the second half.
Marshfield improves to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference with the victory. The Tigers will be back in action Saturday at 11 a.m. against Tomah at Griese Park.
