MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Youth Hockey Association will be offering two programs for children interested in pursuing hockey.
Learn to Skate – Hockey Style will provide on-ice instruction for boys and girls ages 4 to 12. All skaters must have reached the age of 4 before Sept. 1. Participants have to bring their own skates, but all other equipment will be provided.
The program runs Oct. 8-9 and Oct. 15-16 from 4-5 p.m. on Sundays and 6-7 p.m. on Mondays. To sign up call Brooke Anderson at 715-441-0477, or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Fundamental Hockey Skills is the follow-up to Learn to Skate.
Again, all equipment — with the exception of the skates — is provided, and the course is open to both boys and girls. The equipment and program are free to children ages 4 to 8, and equipment rental and reduced rates are available to children ages 9 and up. All participants must have reached the age of 4 before Sept. 1.
Fundamental Hockey Skills begins on Oct. 23 and provides instruction on basic skating and stick handling. Skate times are in early evening with some optional Sunday afternoons. Contact Marisa Lattimer at 715-615-2141 or email@example.com to register.
Both programs are held at the Marshfield Ice Arena, located at 405 E. 17th St.
