SPENCER — The Spencer volleyball team finished its Cloverbelt Conference East Division schedule with a 3-1 loss to Owen-Withee on Thursday night at Spencer High School.

The Rockets finish the Cloverbelt East season with a 4-3 record, ending their run of five-straight conference titles.

Owen-Withee (2-5) won the match 21-25, 25-13, 25-20, 25-23.

Lexi Baehr had 16 kills and 21 digs; Sadie Mercier had 22 assists, 20 digs, and six kills; and Chloe Drews had three blocks and two aces for the Rockets.

“We came out strong in Game 1 but lost all our energy the rest of the way,” Spencer coach Buff Heller said. “It was hard to watch us get out-hustled.”

Spencer will compete at the Gilman Invitational on Saturday and play in a Cloverbelt Conference Crossover game on Tuesday to wrap up its regular-season schedule.
