The 19-member board sets strategic direction and policy to guide the Y’s work of strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
“The Y is a volunteer-led organization, and effective board leadership makes possible so much of what our Y is able to accomplish in our communities every day,” said John Nystrom, CEO of the Marshfield Area YMCA. “We are fortunate at the Marshfield Area YMCA to have a board of directors whose diversity of experience and strength of leadership are commensurate with the Y’s standing as one of the nation’s top nonprofit organizations. Our new board member is a great example of this.”
