The 2017 WIAA football playoffs will continue Friday, Oct. 27, with Level 2 games in seven divisions.
Winners move on to Level 3 games on Nov. 3.
Stratford, Spencer/Columbus, and Auburndale have moved on to Level 2 games — all on the road versus familiar opponents.
In Division 5, Stratford (8-2) will play at No. 1 seed Stanley-Boyd (10-0), and Spencer/Columbus (9-1) will head to No. 2 seed Amherst (9-1), the two-time defending WIAA D-5 state champions.
Auburndale (6-4) will have a rematch with Marawood Conference-rival Marathon (7-3) in a Division 6 game Friday.
Stratford lost to Stanley-Boyd 21-14 in the teams’ season opener in August; Spencer/Columbus was bounced from the WIAA playoffs in each of the past two seasons by Amherst, including in the Division 5 state championship game in 2015; and Marathon topped Auburndale in a Marawood game 35-13 back on Sept. 22.
